Your First Triathlon

Tri’s are generally held early in the morning during the summer months. The reason they are run early is so that it’s not too hot when you are out there doing your thing. If the tri is more than one hour’s drive away, I usually try to stay somewhere near the race the night before. This reduces the hassle and stress of getting there in the morning.

One of the most important things to remember before your first triathlon is RELAX! If you have done the training, you will finish in style. If you haven’t managed to fit all the training in, you will be fine too. The thing about your first tri is just doing the best you can and trying to achieve the goals you have set for yourself. The fact that you are even doing this is great, so just try to relax and enjoy the morning.
